Three boats, cleaned and fueled before every rental
Every boat leaves the dock with a full tank. When you’re back, we top it off and charge only for the fuel you used. Prices are per boat. Tax and fuel are extra.

Drivers must be 25+ with boating experience. Born in 1988 or later? Get your boater card first.
Meet us at the marina
Check in at Cypress Cove Marina & Resort. We walk you through the boat and the local waterway rules before you leave the dock.
Return and refuel
Bring the boat back to the dock. We refill the tank and charge only for what you used.
At the marina
We’re based at Cypress Cove Marina & Resort, 10354 Cypress Cove Ln, Clermont. The Cove Bar is right on site if you want a bite or a drink before or after your trip.
The Cove Bar is independently owned and operated and isn’t affiliated with Clermont Boat Rental.
The lakes
Eleven lakes, one connected waterway
Cypress trees line the shore and give the water its tea color. The chain is part of the Palatlakaha River system, an Outstanding Florida Water. You launch from Cypress Cove Marina & Resort on Lake Minnehaha.

Who can drive the boat?
Every driver must be 25 or older and have prior boating experience. Before you head out, we give you a full briefing on the boat and local waterway rules.
Do I need a boater safety card?
If you were born before 1988, a valid driver’s license is enough. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, you need a Florida boating safety education ID card from the FWC, plus photo ID.
No card yet? Take an approved course through MyFWC, some of which are free. Or take the temporary rental course at boat-ed.com. It costs $6 for materials and $3 for the test, and it’s valid for 90 days.
How does fuel work?
Fuel isn’t included in the rental price. The boat leaves full, and you pay only for the gas you use. We charge it to the card on file when you return.
What if it rains?
Summer afternoon showers are common in Florida. If a major storm front hits the morning of your rental, we reschedule your date. On a complete rainout day, you can rebook or take a 100% gift card for a future trip.
We don’t reschedule for a forecast, clouds, or cold. If rain starts after you’ve had the boat for more than half the day, we can’t give you another full day.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancel for a full refund or switch to a new date any time up to 72 hours before your rental. Later changes, same-day cancellations, and no-shows pay the full rate.
There’s no security deposit. You pay the full rental price when you book, and we keep a card on file in case of damage.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes. We provide standard orange Coast Guard approved life jackets. We don’t stock every child size, so bring properly fitted vests for kids. Florida law requires young children to wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times on board.
How many people can come along?
Each boat has a Coast Guard rating for both people and weight. Whichever limit you reach first is your maximum. Contact us if you have questions about your group.
Can we tube or waterski?
No. Tubing, towing, and skiing aren’t allowed. Our boats are built for leisure cruising, and they aren’t equipped or insured for water sports.
Do you offer military or first responder discounts?
Yes. Veterans, police officers, firefighters and first responders get 10% off any day with code HEROES10. Please bring a valid ID or proof of service to check-in. We also offer 10% off Monday through Wednesday with code WD10 (holidays excluded). One code per booking.
